What a treat! My husband and I had an unexpected invitation to visit friends at Lakeside on Memorial Day and we needed a place to stay the night. Idlewyld was the perfect place. The Barris' found accommodations for us in their Sunflower room. With wicker furnishings and pastel wallpaper, the room was beautifully decorated. (And the bed was so comfortable!) I appreciated Joan's hospitality. I had forgotten aspirin and she immediately supplied me with what I needed! And since it was Memorial Day, we were right on the main thoroughfare for the parade. We were able to watch from a bench located right outside the front door! Joan is a super cook as well. The aroma of french toast led us right downstairs to the dining area.
